‘The Adventures of BORIS

The Adventures of BORIS, was born from the darkest days of the COVID 19 Pandemic. It is the story of BORIS, my husband’s silver SUV and his extraordinary life with his family and friends. He visited and explored towns and regions around W.A. Eventually he was sold to new owner who gave him a new identity – Jurassic Park!

These are the tales and adventures of BORIS, a 32page full colour travelogue for children of all ages visiting Western Australian. Written, designed and produced by Jill Yelland it introduces the reader to just some of the wonders and unique experiences to be found in Australia’s western third.

Starting at Aspects of Kings Park, then BORIS travelled north to Mingenew to the WA space Centre, then Yalgoo and Dongara, in the MidWest or Murchison.

Further north to Monkey Mia, Coral Bay in the Pilbara region then up to Broome, in the State’s northern region of the Kimberley.

There was just one place he couldn’t visit with the family, Rottnest Island! Unfortunately, he sadly had to wait behind at Fremantle, until their return.

BORIS and other friends then travelled south to Busselton and the Margaret River region. Visiting his favourite winery Pierro and Studio Gallery and stayed at Cape Lodge. Later he visited Denmark and the giant tingle forest. Another trip he went to Kalgoorlie to the Super Pit in search of gold! .

Esperance was his last big trip, driving on white sandy beaches with lazing kangaroos. On his return BORIS knew it was time to leave home. He was then adopted by a young doctor, fighting COVID 19 in a Perth hospital. His new owner gave him a ‘make-over  and identity - ‘Jurassic Park!  And as the book says.

‘This is not the end,
it’s just the beginning of
a whole lot of new
adventures for BORIS and
his newly found friends’
